Nearby Secrets is an anonymous, location-based social app where you can share confessions and thoughts with people around you. Your identity is protected behind a unique SIR code.
When you sign up, you get a randomly generated identity code (e.g., SIR-042-TR). Your real name, email, and personal info are never visible to other users.
Nearby Secrets is location-based — it shows you posts from people near your current location and displays Hot Zones on the map. You can revoke location access anytime in iOS Settings, but core features require it.
Yes. All direct messages use end-to-end encryption (AES-256-GCM with X25519 key exchange). Only you and the recipient can read them. We cannot access message content.
Tap the three-dot menu on any post or message and select "Report". You can choose from 9 report categories. Our moderation team reviews all reports.
Go to the user's profile and tap "Block". Blocked users cannot see your posts or send you messages.
Go to Settings > Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data, posts, and messages. This action cannot be undone.
You must be at least 17 years old to use Nearby Secrets. Age verification is required during sign-up.
Make sure you're using the same sign-in method (Apple, Google, or email) you originally registered with. If you forgot your email password, use the "Forgot Password" option on the sign-in screen. If the issue persists, email us at support@nearbysecrets.com.
